Introducing Markham Chiropractor Dr. Pam Manning

You've probably heard the saying, "Two heads are better than one." We've taken that to heart at Pam Manning, DC | Doctor of Chiropractic. With two chiropractors on staff, you get the benefit of extra brainpower. Especially with difficult cases.

Dr. Pam Manning

Markham, Ontario Chiropractor, Dr. Pam ManningFor years I suffered with headaches, I did try several avenues to help my headaches but nothing seemed to work; in fact the headaches were getting worse.

I was recommended to see the local chiropractor, Dr. Barbara Sloat. "It was incredible" says Dr Manning “I’ll never forget that first adjustment. It was as if a huge weight was suddenly lifted from my shoulders." " I have never had a headache since!"

At the time, Dr. Manning was pursuing an undergraduate degree at McMaster University, studying the basic sciences such as chemistry, biology, along with basic physiology and anatomy courses.

Subsequently, Dr. Pam Manning went to Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas. During her four years at Parker, courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the Parker College Public Clinic. As well, Dr. Manning has completed her Fellowship in Pediatrics, certified by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

Dr. Manning chose to practice in Markham because "I view it as a dynamic community that is health-conscious and aspires for improvement, values I hold myself."

“We love skeptics,” smiles Dr. Manning. “I still remember the concerns and apprehension I had when I went to the chiropractor for the first time. So we make it a point to explain everything in advance, answer questions and attempt to over communicate. Practice members appreciate that.”

Through lectures to private and public audiences about health matters, including stress, fatigue, arthritis, and children's health issues, Dr. Manning regularly demonstrates that it's never too late to initiate a pro-active approach to health and wellness.

Dr. Manning is married, and when not practicing, Dr. Manning and her husband will be outdoors; paddling Algonquin Park, climbing the Rocky mountains or hiking the trails of the Oakridges moraine.

“Thank you for visiting our site. I hope it can be a source of hope and healing. If you have any questions, please call me or click on the Email the Doctor button at the bottom of every page.”

Dr. Pam Asks some important questions of interest to Markham residents - Chiropractor Markham Dr. Pam Asks...

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
Are aches and pains good or bad?
While aches or pains may be unpleasant, they're merely warning signs. As a Markham chiropractor, I see this all the time. The pain is not the problem! It just means a limitation has been reached and something needs to change. That's when we get to work correcting the underlying cause.
